Just purchased a 01 Cherokee...some ???
My xj had stock plugs still in it when i purchased it. They were champions plugs so....go with champion
There's a couple bolts holding the coil pack on and the right socket size and an adapter gets them off easily. The pack pops off pretty easy too.
Basically you can fit any type tire on your rig but most of us use light truck tires. 235/75 will fit just fine. I would preferrably get an all terrain tire like bfg AT or general grabber AT2 if you plan on taking this off pavement a little. You'll get a better on/off road balance with an AT than a street-only tire.

Thanks, Guys....invaluable information to me!!
I am hearing that the tranny is a solid one, and it only has a screen inside to filter out the larger "particles" that may occur with use. Is this correct & can I just change the fluid with MerconIII and call it good?
Does the T/C call for MerconIII as well? Does anyone substitute with something like 5-30 motor oil or does the Mercon power transmission fluid lubricate well enough? Thoughts?
I am going to change the rad fluid as well as I don't know how long it has been in there. Do I just use any of the "green" antifreeze solutions? I will check the hoses as well.
I put some beefy A/T tires (235/75/15) on it yesterday and now I can drive with confidence since the "may pops" are history!
A full size spare won't fit where the phony spare is located inside the cargo area. I guess I can just tie it down in back when I go up the mountain.
Who makes inexpensive replacement bumpers with recovery points that I can put on this rig. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to hook up a tow rope....thanks, unibody! Any other ideas will be appreciated. I do not intend on using this Jeep for rock crawling, towing anything, etc., just wheelin around the mountain roads 5 min out of my small town here in Colorado, so heavy duty is not what I am looking for, just adequate duty.
Please drop any and all obscure tips or thoughts my way as this is very valuable to me.
Thanks in advance, Steve

You can use antifreeze you find at the auto parts stores. Just make sure you 50/50 it with water or buy the kind that's already 50/50.
I will check into having the tranny shop in Cortez do a power flush & screen clean, as I do want to see new pink fluid when I pull the stick. I will have to watch them though to make sure they put Mercon III in the hole, LOL.
