Default Just found this funny..

Ran across this in my Haynes manual, found it pretty comical after doing my pinion seal a few weeks ago.

That ratchet and those channelocs are definitely enough to break the pinion nut loose..

lol, I use a 3' pipe wrench and a 3/4 drive 2.5' long breaker bar.

glad I have air tools, and a battery 1/2 and 3/8 inch snap on electric impacts... Cause i'm not near as strong as the man in that picture

Judging from the size of the diff in the pic I'd say that axle's on a lawn mower or something lol. Maybe 3.5" ring gear

Rachet? Channel locks? I just hold the yoke with my left hand and twist the nut off with the fingers on my right hand. Thought everybody did it like that.
