this jerks!
stupid me ripped my cps off when it hung on bellhousing during clutch install.I bought a new one off ebay for 18 bucks. Jeep starts right up and drives smooth but will suddenly start jerking while going down the road and then drive smooth again. is this a cps issue or should I look elsewhere? Don't really want to drop a 100 bucks on a cps unless I have to.

A $18 CPS is very very likely to be complete crap.
Aftermarket CPS are notoriously unreliable and I wouldn't even look at an $18 one.
Do yourself a favour and get a quality one. You will be chasing the same problem otherwise.

It often won't throw a code.
Engine management sensors are worth spending the extra $$ on. You get what you pay for.

True, and although I agree with Cruiser, despite whatever info might follow, I remain of the opinion that the $18 CPS is worthless and needs replacement by a quality one. Regardless year etc

Also, is the CPS harness routed properly? I have photos of the routing for the earlier models....

cheesy?
Stopped by dealership and bought new cps.have to admit my disappointment when compared to original part.the original was a little beefier and had twice the magnet power.my new one and the Chinese one are identical I swear.I could pick up a 9/16 wrench with my old one. The new one and the overseas one hardly stick to it. Anyway ill try it when I get home and post later tomorrow.oh yeah it was 84 dollars and some change at dealer.
