Had a front end collision, hit a pole on the side of a backroad. I was going about 25mph. My brushguard at the hit and there appeared to be no damage, however the car was driving really rough but made it home. Next day I started the car, it was much louder and the oil pressure gauge was reading 0, though I checked the dipstick and its full. Car starts and will idle for about a minute before dieing. If I give it throttle it will go but very weak power and will still die. Theres no visible physical damage so the impact either knocked something lose (possibly wire harness or electrical component) or its internally in the engine, was looking for suggestions on what to look for. 00 Cherokee sport.

Maybe messed the battery up? Or it’s connections? Just guessing. Probably the first thing I would check out. Especially since my battery is missing the factory hold down.

I'd also look for any vacuum tubes that might have popped off and if you possibly cracked the vacuum reservoir under the front bumper.

Stop throwing parts at it. That's an expensive and frustrating way to fix cars. Think, test, think some more. THEN buy parts IF NEEDED.
You have obviously broken something. Look for it.
Which side did you hit?

Also. Have you checked fuses? Grounds? What happens when you try to start it in neutral? Have you checked for any codes? The CEL doesnt always come on when theres a problem. Lots to consider.

Passenger side in front = vacuum reservoir behind bumper. Look for damage there which caused a vacuum leak.
