Ok... so I have a few issues.

The main issue being that over 30-35 mph the jeep shakes fairly dramatically while in part time 4wd. It worked fine up and to a week or so ago, but here are no vibrations at low speeds. I have a 3 inch lift, but ive had the lift on for years. There are no vibes in 2wd.

Issue 2: the t shifter wont go into 1st/2nd gear. When it was cold months ago, it was reluctant to go into park. I am considering dropping the tranny pan to look into this. I know I should do fluid as I never have in my 40k with the jeep. Color, smell, and level are fine.


I bumped a curb with my front passenger tire a few weeks back. It was in the snow and I drove for days with no vibes or issues.

So.... for the vibrations, I plan to...
Pull tcase fill plug and inspect chain.
Check diff fluid levels
Check both drivelines and u joints (front was just replaced) I will look for any play in drivelines.
Look at front of vehicle to see if I might have bent front passenger axle shaft.
Jack up front and inspect each side, check for play.


Any other suggestions? For either my vibrations or the ax4's shifting issues? I figure fluid needs done and maybe the shift cable needs adjusted... also ill check console for obstructions.
