Jeep shakes at 65 mph
Pretty self explanatory, it's definitely something with the steering/tires. I know for a fact that my steering stabilizer is blown out and i measured the toe-in last week and found it was about 1/8" toed out. I'll be fixing these things tomorrow, do you guys think that'll solve the problem?

Hopefully for your sake it will. If that doesn't work take it too a shop that can speed balance the tires. And also check to see if your driveshaft may be bent. My buddies F-150 had a shake from about 50-65 mph and in the end it ended up being his driveshaft had a slight bend in it. Good Luck

I dunno what woulda bent my driveshaft since i've never really taken the jeep off road. I'm on dirt roads about once a week at school but it's not anything serious. Hopefully it's not that bad.

Yeah, prob not, but that would be for a last resort. I would def check every thing else first. If it has done it since you've owned it then it might have been from the previous owner, but it started recently then ists prob not the drive shaft.

steering stabilizers are not the source of a shake. They only mask any other problems if there is one. You want to check all your bushings, like your Control Arms, your Track Bar. Check all the tie rod ends. Check ball joints. Check Wheel bearings. Make sure your tires are balanced and true, and get it alligned. There's not much else up there.

Check the upper track-bar mount. The bolts could wallow out the holes. It can either cause DW (death wobble) or be a result of it and make it worse.
Here's how I fixed mine.

My 98 and my 94 had the same problem, I replaced the bushings in both and had the tires balanced and rotated. It seem to do the trick. I also would look at your steering damper (looks like a shock tha is mounted sideways. Good luck.

dunno, there's a couple people here who don't run a swaybar at all and don't have any problems. (Though personally I wouldn't recommend that, causes alot of body roll).
