Alright, went on an all day wheeling trip today. Well i ended up bashing a decent dent into my gas tank. Well soon as i did, my fuel guage went from saying i had a 3/4 of a tank to saying i was on empty. After i turned my jeep off and cranked it back up it went back to normal. But after i dropped down below 3/4 of a tank, my jeep started spitting and sputtering and stubbling like it was running out of fuel. Once we got off the trail and i topped the tank back off, the spitting and sputtering went away, so i just wrote it off as something else. But now, the tanks back below 3/4 of a tank and spitting and sputtering again.
So could i have maybe bashed my baffling or maybe pushed the bottom of the tank against the bottom of the fuel pump pickup? I dunno. Im going to pull the tank this week when i get time and try to figure it out. But if anyones has this happen to them, let me know. Thanks.
