so far as I can see the ignition coil should have a Dark Green/ Orange wire the goes to fuse #20 (20A). Make sure this has power on it. This wire appears to follow the path that makes it's way to the ASD relay.
With the relay pulled and you're standing at the passenger side front fender the pin location closest to the engine or the pin location closest to the fender should have power on it. The relay closes these two pins (connects them together) when the engine is started. If you have power on one of these pins with the key turned on, put a jumper between then and try cranking the engine over. This should give you power to the coil and get it running. Obviously this will not be the cure, but if it works then this is telling you that either the relay is bad or it's not getting a signal from the PCM to activate the relay. There are a couple connectors near the back of the motor, I think the one you want to check is black, look for the Dark Green/Orange wire in a 14 pin connector.
Funny thing is, the coil and fuel pump get their power from the same side of the relay. If jumpering it over doesn't let it start then that 14 pin connector is the next place to look.

alright so with the key in run position, i tested current from the two pin plug that feeds the ignition coil on the green orange (positive) wire. this read no current.
tried jumping the asd relay and starting the car and same symptoms persisted.
next i pulled the 14 pin connector and with the key in the run position tested for current on the orange/green wire. I FOUND CURRENT!
thinking that maybe the connector was bad, i plugged it back in and stripped some of the insulation on the green/orange wire on the ignition coil side of the 14 pin connector and found no current.
i was almost positive at this point that the connector was bad, so i snipped the green/orange wire on either side of the connector and soldered them together, bypassing the 14 pin connector.
now with the key in the run position and the 14 pin connector disconnected, i have current all the way down at the two pin that feeds that ignition coil. HOWEVER, as soon as i reconnect the 14 pin connector it kills the current on the green/orange wire. WTF!!!!
also, would a bad crank position sensor cause no power to the coil?

Okay, before I go any futher with this, please tell me you have a digital multi-meter and it's set to read VOLTS and ampers. I need to know voltage readings between the chassis ground (body) and the wire you're testing, not amps(current). LMK

Put a test light on the ground side of the coil and crank it over, the light should flash. If not, you have a cam or crank sensor problem.

Even if the filter was clogged, you would some sort of a chance the engine would start. If we're going to throw out some WAGs (wild a$$ guess), maybe the left rear tire is low and causing all of the fuel to pool away from the pump pick up. I'm placing a bet it is the cam or crank sensor.
