i have a 1985 jeep cherokee with a 2.8l v6 in it. it started leak. not quite sure where it is leaking from but it looks like its coming from where the engine meets the transmission so i was thinking the rear main seal. does anyone know how to tell for sure? also if it is is it a one peice seal or 2? the 2 peice are easier to put on ive heard ut i dont know which i have or how to find out

 

one pc rear seal gotta either pull motor or trans to change

 

i just took another look at it and it looks like its dripping down the left side but its dripping from closer to the top of the transmission if that makes sense to anyone other than me haha

 

sounds like valve cover gasket clean motor off and look then its easier than the rear main thats for sure
