I now understand why mechanics charge so much.


Tell more. What were the circumstances surrounding the popping? How do you know it's the box? There are a lot of moving parts under the front end.

If you list any mods you have and what you have done to diagnose this issue you will get some help. So... tires? Lift? Steering upgrades? Have you got under the jeep and tried to move steering components? How does the frame look at the steering box? What do you do with this jeep? Describe this "popping", is it many pops in one direction? Does it only pop once when changing the direction of the turn? Does it pop only while stopped or stopped and rolling? If you want an answer all of the above mentioned must be answered and more.

C'mon guys, break out those magic crystal diagnostic *****. As I look into my crystal ball, I see........ a steering box spacer bracket. What about you guys?

Ooooo I want to try...... My crystal ball is saying a frozen tie rod end on the pitman arm from lack of grease
