Power Steering Pulley driveshaft has no threads?

So I'm replacing my power steering pulley because mine was all cracked and I had it off to do my cylinder head. Went to press the pulley back on with the kit from AutoZone, and the driveshaft which the pulley sits on has no threads. It's just a solid piece of metal with no female threads for the installer. Everywhere I've looked it says it's supposed to have threads, I have one picture that's not great but I'll include it anyway. It's a 94 cherokee sport if that helps. Sorry about the bad picture.

Stud brooke off in hole ?

Looks like it's time for a new pump too.

Time for a new pump, if you look close it appears that the stud from another installation in the past is broke off inside the shaft

Thank you, I figured that the I had to replace the pump anyway but it's good to know what happened to it
