Question Jacking again !!

Hi,
Today I tried this jack ((see pic.)), but it cuold not lift the jeep! It's a chinese made, I could not find other types. What suitable jack for cherokees do you recommand me to use?

i use a 4 ton jack with mine and have no troubles lifting it

I sometimes use a 3 ton floor jack, but it barely lifts it. I usually i go for the 6 ton, but that's a bit overkill. I would say no less than 3 ton, but if you can find one go 4 ton. Don't forget a good set of jackstands too.

You got a defective one then. We carried those crappy chinese jacks on all our tow trucks and used them for changing tires on big duallies etc. Worked fine til they quit and then for $20 we got another one.

I've got a Hi-Lift that I hardly ever use and have a 12 ton bottle jack (I also have a 1976 Dodge Power Wagon, so yes, I use a HD jack) in the back that I use regularly.

Just remember to always use jack stands never trust a jack alone if your under the jeep.

6 ton bottle jack from Walmart. About $20.
