Default it's late, hope to get a fast answer on rear o2 sensor

hey guys to make a long story short exhaust mod gone wrong as far as the rear o2, how bad do they run with it not working? I need to limp it home about 10 miles....i just wanna know if without it, can I get home alright? TIA

May turn on the CEL, but you should be able to drive 10miles without much of a problem.

you will be fine the second o2 just monitors converter operating efficiency

yeah my wires ripped out when i lost my exhaust trail riding. still havent hooked them back up hahaha..itll just throw a CEL no biggie.

sweet f'ed it in removal lol, installing new everything manifold back and need to go home still haha , thanks makes things easier!

now heres another question....drove home just fine, ran great, but no cel....why the heck would it not come on.....new cat, muffler, and tailpipe....no sensor and it's not hooked it.

Just didn't drive it long enough for it to realize there was a problem.

Some will throw CELs right away, some won't. You can also get sims for them so you don't have to hook them up to get rid of the CEL.

yeah it came on finally, and no sense in a substitution as the cat is new, main problems solved anyways, thanks for the replies!

Our rear O2 is there, plugged into the connector but not screwed into the cat - no CEL.

Yep, 100% fine performance-wise to run without rear O2. It'll just throw a CEL. The rear O2 just reads the difference in exhaust after the cat.

the wires on mine got ripped out about two months ago and havent fixed it yet...it runs no different just throws the cel

you wouldn't unless you scanned it, or fixed it to shut the light off
