I been eyeballing iron man's control arms for some time.

At first I was skeptical because of the low price but after reading a few reviews in other forums, I was convinced they are actually worth a try. I spoke with Andy and he had a set on it's way to me in record time. I got em quick and hassle-free.

Here's what he sent me:











I asked for arms that were adjustable from 14"-18" and he got it perfectly. Normally they are 15"-19" if I'm correct. Adam says he does custom lengths if needed, you just send him an email of what lengths you need and he'll make em.

The arms themselves are BEEF. They aren't 2" thick or anything, but they are strong. Welds are good, and everything is very tight. I like the fact that the threaded portion goes all the way to the end of the arm, which gives it a tight clunk-free feel even with the jam nut loose.

Male end is 1" solid
Female end is 1.25"

The bushings have grooves for grease to flow and lube the entire bushing, which is a plus. There's also a grease fitting as you can see. The arms come painted but need to be re-painted according to the instructions. They come pre-painted but to prevent corrosion and rust during storage and shipping. One of the reasons the arms are cheaper than most is cuz he does not powdercoat or paint and that cuts down on costs. I don't like powdercoating and I like the ability to paint my parts myself whichever color i please. A $4 can of good quality paint goes alot further than powdercoating.

Overall I'm very pleased with this order and I already plan on ordering one or two more of his items. If you want a set of strong upper adjustable arms at a super low price, these are it.

 

Hmm that price is really cheap i think there cheaper the the rough country ones i was going to buy i think i'll order some for my xj.

umm idk about others, but something that is ment to hold the axle in place i would like a little bit beefier peice than 1.25 in. maybe for just a lifted daily driver but thats just me.

 

Not to bust you guys bubbles, but rough countrys are a lot better, they have flex joints in them, they are EXTREMELY beefy.

 

Have you seen the stock arms? I would take 1.25" tubular arms over stock arms ANYDAY. I can physically bend my stock arms. These solid/tubular arms are probably 20x stronger than them. There's not as much force being applied to the upper arms as is on the lower arms. These are plenty strong for what they are designed for. I bet you the control arm bolts will snap before these arms bend or even break.

I have RC flex lower arms. Yeah they have flex joints and they cost more due to that. I'm not all about flexin so these work just fine for my application. I just wanted upgraded stronger-than stock adjustable upper arms to move my axle back and these fit the job perfectly.

I've seen them and wondered how they would hold up.

I won't be in the market for any though. (Rusty's fixed lowers and RC adjustable uppers). Plus building long arms come spring..

Yeah i saw those, but you gotta fab up your own brackets or use others. It's a good starting point though.

I am without a doubt intrested in getting the long arms and using my own mounts, say maybe a claytons crossmember.

 

ok these are better than stock, yeah dont doubt that. but i just like a little bit more beefier aftermarket parts.
