Default Intermittent Clutch Failure

1993 XJ AX 15, internal slave. My clutch pedal will occasionally stay down after being depressed for an extended period of time, roughly 5 or more seconds, when the pedal fails to return the clutch itself also engages resulting in my either having to force my shifter back into the neutral position or the jeep stalls or moves if I give gas. Basically the clutch is engaging when the pedal is depressed. But this is not consistent, sometimes I can keep the pedal down and it functions as intended. I have bled the clutch a couple of times, and it helps, a little bit. Maybe I'm just not bleeding it fully idk. If anybody has any insight as to how to remedy this it would be much appreciated.

When it goes to the floor and stays there does it leak fluid from the bell housing ? and are you loosing fluid ? if not then it could be the clutch master by passing inside like a brake master can do .

I think over the course of about a month, easily a thousand or 1500 miles, I noticed my master was missing about a half tablespoon of fluid at most, so your idea about the master bypassing seems reasonable, I think I'll try replacing the master unless someone thinks otherwise, thanks

That would make scene because you are loosing almost no fluid .

In case anyone else has this same issue, I finally replaced my clutch master cylinder a few days ago and haven't had the issue return, so I think she's fixed, thanks for the help!
