Default Intermittant wipers quit

The intermittant function on my wipers does not work. For that matter, there's not much difference between low and high speed, either. There is SOME difference but not much.

Anybody have experience with this?

There's normally a regulator/modulator that can go bad. May want to check that out.

EDIT: Here you go http://www.teamcherokee.com/Wipers/index.html
I'm sure you could find one at a pick-n-pull for next to nothing, now you know what to look for.

Sweet. I'm going through my relay drawer tomorrow and see if I've got one on hand. Collected dozens over the years...we'll see.

NO the grands DO NOT use the same one. The PO of my Cherokee put a Grand wiper module in it and the delay did not work at all. I put the Cherokee module back in and now they work but the delay is way too long. I think the switch is going as well.

The non working module in mine said "ZJ ONLY" right on the label and the XJ module said nothing at all about any specific model.

And yes the ZJ module was good. I ended up giving it to a co worker with a Grand and it worked perfect for him so it was not defective.

look under the lower dash panel for a little black module and replace it and you should be all fixed. that black module is the intermitten wiper module

I forgot to add that if your wipers fail completely simply remove the black box and plug both harness that come out of it together. You will lose all delay but it should get your LO/HI/MIST working good again.

Ok guys, still having trouble. I've verified the module is good, since it worked in the parts jeep I pulled it from (a 94). However I only have intermittent wipers if I set the delay to the minimum level, right before it clicks over to 'low'. This speed doesn't seem that fast to me, either, maybe a second between cycles. If I set it to anything else, it wipes once (when it clicks from 'off') and never cycles again.

Thoughts? PO replaced the switch, wondering if it's just defective?
