Jeep started heard squeeling and smoking turns out that the ac compressor isn't spinning at all. I think its the bearing in it because it is completely seized. So the serpentine belt won't spin and it is stuck in a church parking lot.
Was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else and if that makes sense.

mine was squealing and smoking. took away the cigarettes but it still squeals... just kidding. my idler pulley froze up at a gas station. i kept telling my buddy it was too tight....he says nah it's fine. sure it is! hey you can get another ac compressor for about $50 at the junkyard.

unplug the wires to the AC compressor. might be able to get the clutch loose by hand, or with some channel locks or something. then it might spin free with it unplugged.
yep that's the next step. heck if you were closer I have an extra compressor...unplugging it works if the internals are frozen up and you can liberate the pulley from the clutch, but if the pulley bearing is gone, then you just have to change it out.
