Not sure if this is common knowledge but I'm going to share it.
To get the lower trackbar bolt in I used to fight the jeep like you wouldn't believe. Huge pry-bars, come alongs, etc etc. It was a huge ordeal. It made you never want to adjust the thing.
I found an easier way. You just need a buddy. Get everything bolted up besides the lower bolt. Get all four jeep tires on the ground and have a buddy get in the jeep and start it.
Have him turn the steering wheel. Without the trackbar the entire body will move. It shouldn't take you longer than a few seconds to get that bolt in.
Hope this helps someone.

A New Milford, CT man was accidentally "run over" today by his own Jeep while replacing a suspension part. When asked to comment his "buddy" said, "I'm sure glad he's ok! I started it up and just shifted it into gear outta habit. He started ta yellin' and I spilt my beer!"
But seriously, good idea.

It's fairly common knowledge but it's also good to be reminded of it now and then. So thanks.Originally Posted by HudsonN

If ya wanna be safe just set the parking brake and start the jeep yourself. Then have a buddy reach through the open window from outside the vehicle and work the wheel.
Fwiw i had an 8 yr old work the steering for me once, with his dad watching him of course and the kid had a blast "working on a monster truck". Lols

Why even start it if your worried about safety? Its pretty easy to turn the wheel when the tbar is not connected...
