was driving around in my newly purchased 2001 cherokee today and #3 injector went south on me. It has 67000 miles on it. Also just added some Chemtool injector cleaner to a tank of gas.Had to drive home on 5 cylinders.Are these hard to change or clean, and should i just change them all ?

 

they are easy to get to and replace right on the intake manifold you could take them all off to be remand there are company's that rebuild them it is cheaper then replacing

 

yeah i had the same problems on my jeep but its a 89' my personal opinion is just to replace them cuz they will probablly be brand new

 

Are you sure the injector is bad, #3 injectors are common to get hot on 2001 xj's and cause a misfire condition. If the injector is still working correctly and you shield it you may not need to replace it.
