Default Injector Harness Pigtail

Hey guys
So I have a quick question for you guys. I had to get new injector pigtails because mine (1999) were the EV6 (I believe) and the 24lb injectors I got are EV1. So I got the EV1s pigtails in today (finally) but the colors are not the same. Both out of the EV1s are white. The stock ones are all different colors. So my question-

If I match right (on pigtail) to right (on wiring harness) left to left I should be fine correct? Also, reading online I am now torn. Some places say to soder them, other places say to use quality crimps because soder will go cold over time. Thanks!

On my 97 one side was signal (to fire I assumed) other was ground. If you trace both wires it should be pretty obvious. Mine were pretty brittle so I just broke out the soldering iron and got going after ordering new pigtails (with nice metal clips) from a local supplier.

Gotcha. I figured out the constant after cleaning (mine was green) and assume that is positive (others all different colors). My question was just if EV1s wire the same as EV6s.

Better put like this I guess: If I make the the part of the clip that is indented to fit around the injectors the bottom, are EV1s/EV6s wired the same with the constant green on the right. Meaning does the current flow the same way through the two.

Just curious...

Why are you installing fuel injectors that requires pre-1999 fuel injector connectors.

Will these injectors have the proper flow specs for your engine?

Will these injectors have the required resistance, i.e., 12 Ohms? Injectors with a low, to very low, impedance will smoke the injector drivers in the PCM.

I need the 24lb per hour for the 4.6 stroker. I got a screaming deal on these via ebay and they have great reviews. (150 for 8 brand new) i looked online and they said they would work for a Jeep XJ. Fitment is perfect. The impedance for them is 11-18 Ohms. 24.3lb at 43.5 psi. I ordered them along time ago... Had everything else in tried to hook then up and they have the square Bosch type clips, rather than spend another 300 on injectors, I just ordered the pigtails. I'm about to turn the key so I guess I'll find out! Haha

Well if anyone ever needs to know this down the road... The current does go the same way. If you take the right and the right, you'll be fine! Started right up.
