Is it after you hit a bump that it goes nuts?

unfortunitley yes it can. mine happened when i lifted it and was actually cure by bigger tires and a balance but i've heard of hundreds of different ways it can happen. everything from bald tires to worn bushings

Ye sit can..

Lift is not required for "Death Wobble" to happen.

Start by checking tie-rods, Control arm bushings and the track bar. If you don't find a issue start with the unit bearings.

I've never seen a u-joint cause a vibe at a set speed. They either vibe or not...

I'd say to start by doing a complete front end inspection..

The sad part is most times you end up just replacing parts till the problem goes away..

first time my wobble showed up i almost my pants. i was cruisin along at like seventy five, i had my lift in for about a week and out of nowhere the truck shook so bad i couldn't do anything but hold on hit the brake pray i could bring it to a stop before it rolled. crossed three lanes and ended up skidding to a hault in the shoulder. took me a week to figure it out cuz it wouldn't do it if there was anyone else in the car

yours probably is not at as bad as mine cuz its probly from parts wear. i had a one tone come along repositioning my axle for my lift five days prior. either way good luck on gettin it fixed i kno how much of a hassle it can be
