Default Ignt coil??

Ok so I did a full tune up, Cap Rotor Wires Plugs. And Im still having a problem. At 45-55 she is still bucking and not wanting to shift. If i floor it alittle more she will shift? Any Ideas??? I have adjusted he kick down cable already aswell? So im thinking TPS or ign coil.

Shifting isn't controled by the engine, so coil or tps would have nothing to do with it. Poor shifting is caused by a couple of things, poor quality of fluid (ie the fluid is dirty), your valve body is dirty, or your band and clutch are worn. Your best bet is to do a Trans flush with a fliter change. 9 times out of 10 it is just simple maintance that is the issue, or lack of maintance.

The throttle position sensor is absolutely involved in shifting characteristics.

And it also could create that other symptom at around 45-55; they can get a bad spot on the sweep of the unit.

Having these two symptoms together = TEST your throttle position sensor!

Be sure and report back what you find!

Well, lol I was wrong, it is electronic controled as well. TPS would be another, still the fluid would be easy to check by just pulling the dip stick.. But yeah, TJ is right about the TPS

It didn't do it today. So I'm think TPS. Trans shifted great today. I 100% its not the trans.

Test or replace your TPS. They are only about $45 or so.

clogged cat would do it. you could pull the o2 sensor out and drive it for a short trip to see if it changes
