Okay I got a 90 2 door with some rigged up BS on it. They have it where the key has to be turned forward and then you hit a button to start it. BUT, when you turn the key forward, none of the dash lights come on like during normal starting. Also, the heater doesn't come on, I'm thinking it doesn't work because the key isn't turning on any accessories. I'm thinking the ignition switch is bad.

But the heater still doesn't come on when once it starts up but I still think that is ignition switch related, there is simply nothing turning it on.

Engine 'run' and accessories are two separate circuits in the switch, one can work without the other. Have you looked at the switch and plug yet? They overheat and fail..

I think your right from the sounds of it. my 90 has been having an issue keeping the ignition switch adjusted right, so i just threw a push button on it to start her up. so ya, i did some "rigged up bs" :P I just have bigger demons to tackle than the silly ignition switch atm.

It is switch related. The big brown wire to the switch is probably melted at the switch and the switch is likely bad.

Yeah all the fuses are good. Radio doesn't come on either. I'm going to replace the switch tomorrow and see if everything works, if not looks like I have to track down some wiring gremlins. I hate them!
