Is the starter engaging?

If not, is it clicking?

If not, do the dash lights dim when you try to start?

If it's not turning over and the lights aren't dimming, try taking it out of park and put it back into park. My Jeep did that yesterday, the neutral safety switch needs adjustment.

Yeah, I was glad the PO pointed it out before he sold it, otherwise I would have been freaking out.

Either one but the shop will replace it and the switch is $150 or so. And it can be rebuilt by anyone who will take their time and be careful. Read this procedure HERE
