Well guys another question about another problem on these darn ol- Jeeps.

I will try and explain the issue as best as possible.

Ok i have come across a short or wiring problem with the ignition key.??
Jeep starts and runs no problem. but power to cig. lighter, stereo and a.c. does not work.
I turn the key switch to off and then acc. and the cig lighter works, and stereo works.
So i check the fuses, there not blown but I change them to make sure there good anyway.

so i start the truck to find again no power to stereo, cig lighter or a.c.
so i kinda bang on the area where the key is and everything starts working. so i put the a.c. on blast and everything stops working again.

Yesterday everything worked fine and i was able to drive the car with stereo, and a.c. no problem, but when i went to drive home nothing worked.

So has anybody got any idea whats going on, or have come across this problem before.
Any help or info would be great ..

Sounds like igniton switch is getting ready to go not key switch.

 

You have the chrylser column ?..

Don't think i have tilt column. But it seems like a easy task.
