If your cruise control didn't work but you fixed it, please HELP!
1991 XJ, automatic, supposedly w/cruise control...completely inop...
My XJ has no indicator light on the dash/instrument cluster.
I've checked fuses, tested relays, the connection to the solenoid; throttle linkage seems fine, brake light switch is fine, vacuum lines are fine...how do I go about testing the other components of the cruise control system (module, wheel and vehicle speed sensors, etc)
If you figured it out, I would love to know what you did in your case ...please

I read your post about your cruise...I have one switch on my brake pedal; the black one, which is the brake light switch. The cruise control module needs to see that this switch is functioning in order to allow the cruise to engage, since stepping on the brake pedal disengages it. If you have brake lights, this switch is fine. Can you post a picture so I can see the other white switch and vac line you were talking about? The only part of the brake system I know of that is involved w/the cruise control system is the brake light switch.
