This is EXACTLY why I tell folks to do the tips FIRST!!!!!!!

Thank you for helping me drive my point home.

The Sensor Ground test, along with the ground Refreshing, Connector Refreshing and C101 Cleaning are SUPER important. The sensor ground is for CTS, IAT, TPS and MAP.
Imagine what the ECU is getting for signals from FOUR very critical sensors when their ground is absolute crap.

And they're free and take about an hour total.

The C101 may be the issue. Clean and tweak per the instructions. Test again per Sensor Ground test.

have you checked your throttle cable?
disconnect it and run the throttle cable &run the throttle by hand & see if you can duplicate the problem

The problem is electrical. Everything mechanical and vacuum has been ruled out. I'm getting a high resistance in the ground circuit between the battery and TPS ground. The c101 was cleaned the best I could last night which dropped the resistance to 10 from 12 but the problem has gone away. Runs much better too. Just got to get that number lower in the ground circuit.

Yes that will work but I'd rather have a more permanent solution. I'd really like to remove the c101 connector.

Me thinks allot of the stuff grounds through the TCU or the ECM to protect them from odd things happening on the ground side. Maybe backwards jumpers, static, or welding...that sort of thing. I actually have a problem with my TPS ground in my TCU, (trans side of course), but it is working OK, so I'm not fixing it...
