87 waggy/4.0/4wd

Per mechanic, the idiot lights are out on the jeep. The brake light , which is curious. What is the order of the idiot lights and what size bulb would I use for replacement?

Also, does the 87 have a computer? I thought comps were on later models, but mechanic says mines not functioning with the idiot lights.

Just to start something, the '87 has a computer generally referred to as the ECU (I believe) on Renix XJs (broadly speaking, pre '91 models with the 4.0). The computer does not directly control the instrument panel functions (gauges or idiot lights) and I'm not sure what the mechanic is saying about yours not functioning with the lights. First thing to do might be to get another mechanic.

Are you saying the brake light is out?

What do you mean by "What is the order of the lights"? Have you actually checked the bulbs to see if they are burned out. I would guess you have some other problem, perhaps a ground, if they are all out at once.
