Default I want brighter headlights!

Can I just get a better bulb? Or do I have to replace the entire headlight units?

What product(s) would you suggest?

I don't wanna spend a lot of money.

you could replace the headlights with non-sealed beam lights then get the bulbs of your choice.

Another good mod is the headlight wiring. I will see if I can find the mod.

Edit: Found it... there are a lot of other useful mods on this site as well.. http://fitchva.com/jeep/?p=57

Sylvania SilverStar are by far the brightest sealed beams I have ever used.

A bit pricey at around $19.95 per bulb.
Thier element bulbs leave ALOT to be desired.

I have thier sealed beams in BOTH my XJ's

I picked up the Sylvania Xtravisions at Wallyworld for 8 something each. Had good luck with them on my 99. Gonna try tme in my '92 and see how they work. Should be an improvement over the old ones that are in there now.

I run silverstars in my 96 xj and they work great, I just got a 01 xj a few weeks ago and that was the first thing I did was put a set of silverstars in that, the second day I owned it. This is probably the least expensive rout but, it makes a huge differance.
