What is a SYE? every three days there is a new post or a old one drug up about it. Do I want one? Should I care? Will tacos be outlawed as they are as addictive as crack? Stay tuned.

SYE ='s Slip Yoke Eliminator

It gets rid of the slip yoke on the transfer case so you dont get bad vibes after lifting your XJ over a certain height usually 4 to 4.5" +

SYE: Slip Yoke Eliminator

It gets rid of the factory slip yoke, which can cause Vibes after a lift. It is also much stronger

Since you are not lifted (or it doesnt list it in your specs) dont worry about it.

Tacos suck, burritos are better.

I would do the lift, and if you get vibes do the SYE
Most the time they require a longer driveshaft to be made.

Im at 4" rear with no vibes.

Usually when people go wheeling they take tools...

Joking, but take tools next time!

But really, My jeep has 3 tool boxes in the back, a roll of duct tape, a can of pb blaster, a can of liquid wrench, a tow strap, jumper cables, and a BFH in it at all times..

don't forget the hack'n'tap SYE!. essentially, does the same job as the full SYE kit, but requires cutting, drilling, and tapping of the shaft in the transfer case, and bolts a yolk to the shaft so it doesn't slip'n'slide like a stock one. then most guys will use a front CV drive shaft from a JY. many guys have used a hack'n'tap for years without problems, and others can't seem to do the work and have it last, so they replace with the kits. open debate, and i stand at it depends on how well you do the work which will make it last.
