PB Blaster the hell out of them... leave them sit for a day if you can.. get the biggest badest vice grips you can find.. Heat/torching also works sometimes but it would be a little dangerous inside

New. Depending on your year, you can use various years to fit. I EASILY put a brand new 1998 in my 1999 and I changed over the plug-n-play clip and saved.......$100 bucks!!!! A brand new 1998 starter was $99 bucks at NAPA. LIFETIME warranty and no core charge because its new. Ill eventually rebuild my old one and have a spare. If you can afford $99 bucks on a new one, do it. The lifetime warranty alone is worth the $99 bucks.

Does any one have a write up for this? Or send me the link. I need to take it apart and clean it. Also where it is and how to take it out. This is a budget build. I don't want to spend alot of money when I can rebuild it. I have a 90 Cherokee Laredo. Any help is appreciated thank you

SawZall the head of the bolts off then grip the remaining part w/ Vice Grips. then replace with new ones and Anti seize.

I had this same problem. It's most likely NOT the starter motor. The starter uses the engine block as a ground - in my case I had a poor connection between the starter body and the engine block. I cleaned it up nice and shiny and reinstalled the starter and it's been fine ever since.

It also prompted me to do a lengthy write-up. You need to pay attention to "Procedure #3". Refreshing your grounds is paramount.
