Look at this mess!!!!!
I had the center stack apart to check the driving light switch and figuired I would take a peek behind the radio as the front speakers only work intermitently. Since it's an aftermarket radio I thought I might have a loose connection.
Anything back here that could effect the power locks? I am not sure if there was any factory security system that could be messed up.
I am considering going to the local pick a part and grabbing the stock harness and soldering it back in correctly.
What are your thoughts?

I've install a lot of aftermarket head units. And on every one, I've run new wire for power, ground, amp on/off, head unit RCA, and speakers. So I don't have to deal with stuff like that.

other than the marrettes, that's how you have to wire in the adapter.
at least the ones i've done had to go in that way.
only i didn't use marrettes and done a cleaner job.

If you are having power lock issues. It could be the wiring in between the door and the door jamb. Pull the rubber boot back and look for broken wires. I have seen this to be quite common and it can also cause door speaker issues, as well as that awful job of a stereo install. I have always been a firm believer in soldering and heat shrinking all of my connections. Hope this helps!
