Default I finally hit "Beater" status

Well its official..
its a beater now:
Lets see the progress:
When i bought it:

Then to small tires because i wasn't sure where i was going:

Then i got the moab rims:

Now .. 3" lift and fenders cut to fit 34's

cut about 2 inches in front and 1.5 in the rear.
cut 1/2 inch slots, folded under to prevent tire cuts on front and rear.
It clears the 34s really nice in the rear.

Front is easy to cut and fold. Theres only 1 panel to cut through.

(and the beer can ashtray to make it official)

Man, that looks nice!! Nice job. That's what I'm aiming for. 34s on 4" lift and cut fenders. What size rims? Yours look wider than mine.

nah, its not a beater yet, you dont have enough battle scars or engine problems. You gotta have some unknown clunking and a terrible exhaust leak first.

But your on your way

My 1992 is a beater then. I have water out the exhaust when I start it unitl it warms up. I have engine knocking or clicking and added some marvel oil since it was a quart low. I have rust on the rocker panels. The drivers door is dented and will be replaced soon I hope. The drivers door seal leaks. It is a beater but paid for. It does have exhaust noise on the drivers side of the engine so I think that is the clicking I hear. I have exhaust fumes if the window is down. When I back up you get a buzz from the fumes. Gotta luv it.

Thanks for the pics. Mine is the same type of green and trim. Nice to know what to expect when I get my rig lifted. Thanks.

LOL matt.. beer can ashtray sounds cooler!

Engine: Every time it starts up.. lifters slap like mad for 5 seconds.
Header: Cracked.. When i dumped seafoam through brake booster the smoke came out of the crack..
Exhaust: It had a Chevy drive shaft that was used as a muffler!
Paint: Chipping and i used that plastic coating paint for tools on it.
Seats: starting to rip. Electric still works
E-fan: rigged from inside of cab because it never worked
Axles: some of the bearings are shot they howl at 50
wheels: i think they are 3.75" bs on 15x 8
Tires: Super Swamper LTB 34"x10.50x15
Title: Salvage from being hit on front
Front clip: is black from some other jeep

So.. until it goes offroad and gets muddy and dented.. You re right.
its Pre-Beater

Mark
ps: aussie locker in front soon!

The trim is just glued on. you can heat it and remove it.. or you can grab a corner with some plyers and rip it off. You ll have to sand it down to get rid of old paint or glue but if its just for offroad use you dont really care too much. Plaint it black and it ll look like mine
