Puts you out about 100 bucks... I just replaced mine with an OEM though and it works great. I don't know that you'll really see that much benefit with a high-flow pump like this without upgrading the radiator as well.

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

with new upper and lower hoses & hose clamps, Tstat, waterpump, HD fan clutch and rad cap.
Didn't do a long drive yet, but the temps look promising... 198-202deg!

Nice truck, recently picked a '99 me own self. Not having cooling issues, but she does run around 210, thats pretty normal. My '97 runs just a bit cooler, without a rad shroud.
Nothing like getting a new to me and having to get a bit greasy, been doin it the last couple weeks also.
My recommedation for oil, 5 quarts of whatever flavor 10-40 and a quart of Lucas, the '97 has over 325k on it with this combo, I use the big Q for oil.
You might want to try 2/3 can of Sea Foam in your oil before next change if you think the lifters a a bit sticky, helped the knockin and bangin in the '97, but the rockers could be a bit worn to, as are the rockers in that truck.
I'm trying not to smoke in the new to me, well, cigarettes anyway.......

OK... after 1.5 hours of random driving, hwy, city and beating on her. Here are the temps!
198-202 on the hwy at 65-68mph for a 40 mile run w/ cruise control.
198-204 around city streets up to 50mph
198-206 beating her up a little around town. plenty of WOT, hard braking then WOT again... again.
200-206 (pretend) sitting in traffic, in drive pressing the brake for up to 8 mins.
211 on restart after shutting her off waiting 10 mins, temps quickly dropped under 206 and fell to 198-204.
I'm impressed.
I'm the bull and I don't take any ****. I wanted this XJ to run right- what ever it took to get the temps correct. LOL
Since it's my DD and only vehicle, living in SC where the temps can go to extremes both hot 107 to 10 It's got to work right.
Btw I dumped in a bottle of marvel mystery oil a day ago, I think she's getting quieter. I'm doing quick oil changes @ 900 miles to help flush the oil crap out of the motor... If I have time tomorrow I'll get the oil changed again. I'm hitting the easy button- oil change place down the street for $23.00 for now.
Since I've been dry for 3 months, cigs will have to do... LOL!

Well then... Start a build thread and post a link for it here? Or maybe a mod can do a move/title change?
You can just go back and copy/paste all your updates from here, into your build.

By the way, congrats on the sobriety!
PM Gee Oh Dee or any other mod, and they'll be happy to move it for you... then you can change the title to show build thread or whatever.

Also keep dumping in the MMO, because they're also probably using Pennzoil.

I use castrol, valvoline, or mobil1
a lot of people on here use Rotella because of the added detergents, but I've never tried it.

Sometimes.
