If your talking about the front rotor/hub.... 12 ft lbs is max on the nut.

the nut that tightens the axle to the hub is suppose to be torqued to 175 lbs not 12. caliper bolts are 12 lbs and the 3 12pts that attach the hub to the knuckle are 75 lbs

The only way it is possible that you are wearing them is if you are not torgueing them to 175 ft/lbs.

Are you sure the axle is all the way through the bearing? On an older cherokee I owned, the axle nut would stop and I could torque the axle nut to spec, but there was a 1/4 inch gap between the axle and the back of the unit bearing, if that makes any sense. I had wire wheel the splines and thread of the axle, then grease them to finally get it to seat fully.
