Default How you drain the coolant?

Sorry for the dumb question. The alldata service manual I subscribed says " remove the radiator grill mounting screws and remove the grill" to have access to the rad draincock. However, it never tells me how to remove that grill.
Can anyone give some instruction on how to remove that grill or any alternative method to drain the coolant?

Thanks.

no such thing as a dumb question,,

its easy, take the cap of the radiator off, then look down between the radiator and the airbox, you will see a hose there,, disconect and let gravity do the work, then put some water to fush and put back together

The method I use is a little crude but alway effective. I place a large drain pan under the front of the vehicle and pull off the lower radiator hose. Quick and dirty but effective.

Default Thanks for the prompt reply

I also considered pulling the lower radiator hose. The problem is that I am inclined to do it in a "cleaner" way. I live in a house without paved drive way. Whenever I need work on my car, I have to park my car by the street. So I am trying not to spill any used coolant to poison the dogs.

Throw a tarp or a couple large garbage bags down first and then drain into a pan. Any missed fluid will stay off the street. Wipe it up when ya are done.

Lower radiator hose is the best method. The drain **** on these are a royal PIA to get to.
