How to remove engine
The 4.0 in my 2000 is finally dead and I'm swapping in the one from a 94. Any tips/tricks for removing/installing the motor? Anything a should take into special concideration? Thanks in advance guys!

^^^ you bet! The fasteners, vacuum lines, etc all start looking the same once they've been removed, lol. There's nothing better than good pictures of where things are supposed to go.

Hood and front end removal are unnecessary steps. Never done either one and had no issues.
Be aware that teh top two bell housing toengine bolts are E12 heads. Loosen/remove them before any others.

Why are you goining to install a 1994 4.0 in place of your 2000 4.0?
Because my motor had a cracked head which killed the bearings and made it knock like the police on the door of a high school party. 15 minutes after she started knocking a guy heard it and told me he would sell me one out of a 94 for $300. I think that's a good price. Also on my way home from work last night it gave out so I need her back on the road ASAP

Consult with cruiser54, and others, on any/all problems you'll run into.
I plan on swapping the heads. The head on my current motor is off an 04 grand so im hoping all I need is to swap heads and swap the distributor for the cam sensor but trust me if I have any problems I'm coming on here. So many good recourses
