If post 96ish where its in the pump and you have to drop the tank....NEVER..If pre where its a can on the siderail maybe every 50k

I've owned my '88 Laredo for 22 years, I've only changed the fuel filter once (like 15 years ago). Still on the original fuel pump. I have new filter for it, but have had no need to replace the old one (so far).
In the 22 years of ownership, I've only put about 80,000 miles on it.
