Default How much more clearance for 33s

Right now I have a 4.5 inch lift with bald 31s and I can get an almost new set of 33s for 200 bucks. If I wanted to keep my stock flares and bumpers/bumper caps would they fit? They are 33 x 12.50 could I get away with some minor trimming or could I get away with a 1.5 or 2 inch puck up front thanks for the help

Good question. I'm at 5" front/5.5" rear and sitting on newish 31's and regretting it, wanting to go to 33's now. I've seen some lift kits listing 6.5" as the height for 33's.

I would never condone the use of pucks...

please get shackles and spring spacers.. you will likely need less backspacing on the wheels too.. i ended up with -3.75... after that, minor trimming will be needed... but still watch completely stuffing the front tires in an off camber approach angle

good luck & BE SAFE (without pucks)

im at 6.5" lift and have no drive line vibs what so ever , i did add a 1" tranfer case drop tho , i run 33s and still rub when flexed out , so running 33s on a 4.5 " lift with no trimming will deff rub pretty good

Sounds like what I'm going to do. Bump stop it and maybe trim slightly.

I've no driveline vibes at all with a 1" tc drop and shims.

Were you able to keep the factory flares?

Runnin 4.5 RC with 33x12.5s on 15x10 cragars. I rub a little when seriously flexing( the small amount my short arm gives me....) You would def need to trim the fenders and the bottom seem behind your tires.

I'm on 33x12.50x15 BFG AT's with only 2" of lift... granted there was a lot of trimming, and no fender flares anymore. The trick is BUMPSTOP! You can't fit almost anything with the enough bumpstop.... granted your eventually it would affect your everyday driving. but you should be able to fit 33's with 4.5" lift (keeping the stock flares) as long as you get long enough bumpstops. You will need a more negative offset though. I put my 33's on stock rims at first, and they rubbed like crazy on my lower control arms when turning. New steel wheels can be had at almost any tire store for 25 to 30 bucks a piece.

When in doubt... go bigger...ALWAYS... I mean, it's a JEEP.

My 31's rubbed on my stock LCA's, swapped em out for RE's and no more rubbing, with the stock rims, do they rub on aftermarket arms?

I used th wrong term..by pucks I mean spring spacers.. I already have negative offset steel wheels so I should be fine there so It just seems like I need a front spacer and maybe some shackles/ minor trimming? Also how will she run with the 33's.. I doubt it will make a diff but I have a Tb spacer and a jet performance chip laying around for it

The change between 31's and 33's as far as performance goes isn't much. I'm just running stock as far as the engine goes, and I didn't even notice. With steel wheels the brakes get a little soft (that's a lot of rolling mass), but as far as get up and go... it's not that bad.
