If you want it immobilized I have found a much simpler solution !
Pop the hood an Pull the wire for the coil to Distributor cap , Pull the relay for the fuel pump !

Easy? sure... Ideal? I would say no because it's not like anyone will ever notice you popping the hood every time you walk away and come back to go somewhere. Just saying...
