Wow at the responses here!

OP, do yourself a favor and go get either a pitman arm puller or a tie rod end puller. Cut some of the stud off, press out. I did both sides in like 5 minutes flat. Don't waste your time with a torx or even a BFH. Unless you're mad and have steam to blow off. LOL

the hex head is on there in case the nut just turns the whole stud if the splines strip while needing to replace the sway bar end link. this way you can hold the stud from spinning to get the nut off.

but yeah, it got me too the first time. lol.

PB blaster, heat, and a BFH removed mine with very little effort. I didn't think about the pitman arm puller at the time I did mine or I probably would have used that method.

If I stopped using ever type of tool I've broken I'd be left with nothing but finger nail clippers. Just buy a bigger/better one.

I know, I just meant it as a way to say do it right and use a pitman arm puller. But it was sketchy as **** when it cracked, springs shot open, did use a bigger clamp, then a vice grips when it was already closed.

You need to buy a better tool than that cheap Chinese junk.

Well China has been around for a long time.

I think the old USA stuff was made better. They were more worried about quality and durability back then, than the lowest price/highest profit.
