Do you have any pictures to show what/how?
Regarding exhaust noise, I mounted a extention tip on the exhaust that extended the length by 3 inches, and exhaust sound in interior was significantly reduced.

I have also put insulation in all holes in tailgate holes and curves + 1 mat covering the inner panel. This reduced exhaust noise quite a bit.
