After 2 months without my car, time for me to clean up my engine bay.
I believe that clean things work better than dirty ones. (Some say the opposite..)
The parts on the picture are broken. (picts NOT from my car)
Maybe the reason why my electrical harness looks fried.
I would like to order the 3 pieces.
No JYard close to my place...
I would also like to "join" all the cables together.
Is it better to wrap them with
- a cloth hi temp ruban
- Plastic tube
- heat protected tube
- both
The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367 or is a Dorman 46003.
The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1366 or is a Dorman 46004.
The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number BK 715-1365 or Dorman 46005 and comes with the valve cover grommet.
The Throttle Body to MAP hose is no longer available. Click HERE to access a fix for that.
So you need the plastic box-type loom for the injector harness. It has 3 bosses that slip over the head bolts to hold it in place. Believe it or not, my 2000 has broken bosses too, but the box is still good.

87 doesn't have that. There are 3 P clips that go over the valve cover stud/bolts to hold the harness up. No box.
Any suggestion to buy, rebuild them or find a fix ?
As long as you can keep the harness from rubbing anywhere, you're fine. Zip ties can be used. The area that can be an issue is where the harness might rub on the head stud.
