Default how do i get the suckers out?

ok. i am replacing my front exhaust on jeep. but the bolts that go into cat were welded on back side. and they broke off flush with cat. ALL THREE.. how can i get them out?

Either drill them out or cut it off!!

Drill them out and replace them with STAINLESS STEEL bolts so this never happens again.

well i am on first bolt still. first time im drilling out. but can someone gimmi a tutorial.. cause when i drill it is half way done. but doesnt seem to get farther than that.

Many times a drill will get dull and you'll have to put a new edge on it. Also when drilling a bolt you will want to drill a pilot hole then go larger and you will want to use plenty of oil. Also drill with a lower speed than if you were doing home projects. Using a drill going fast will cause the edge of the drill bit to dull faster and the extra heat can cause the bit to fail.

left handed bits are for extracting broken bolts. in your case won't help.

If you can get a 4-1/2' angle grinder on the bolt heads, you could at least grind them off so that much less drilling.

Don't forget the safety glasses!

when i did the exhaust on my buddies tj, it was all rusted so we cut the bolts out with a recipro saw and just put new bolts in. good luck!

no no. the bolt heads are out. and i cut the front pipe off from the cat. now i have cat and rear pipe. but the bolts that were in the front to cat still have the threaded side in them. and there welded from the cats side.
