Hope it's only the rear shackles
I have a box stock 2000 XJ Sport, When I stop everything seems OK. When I then move forward there is this somewhat disconnected feeling like something is loose. Anybody have an idea what makes it do this??

It could also be a leaf bushing. Mine has done this before too. It could be a number of things, but it is nothing that is going to like ruin your jeep. Find out what it is and fix it, it shouldnt be too much money either. Trust me, the longer you own your Jeep, the less noises will bother you

Disconnect the driveshaft from the yoke. Cut and toss the metal band off the boot @ the tranfer case. Lube the slip yoke with a gob of anti sieze. Reinstall driveshaft and use a plastic wire tie around the boot. I thought I had a trashed u-joint/rear diff until I tried this, smooth as butter now.
