In the trim, up under dash, feed to HU slot.

Or under headliner, down trim to dash, to HU slot.

Hi, I ran mine under the carpet on the passenger side. I took off the plastic near the bottom of the doors and the kick panels and you cant even see them. You can also run them through the headliner and down the windshield posts if you have the speaker bar in the top rear of the jeep...Tj

Run speaker wire either on top of the headliner or just below the door threshholds.

Either way, you have to remove a bunch of trim. Careful with the headliner...they are easily damaged. Once you have the wire up to the A pillar (the vertical structural posts at the sides of the windshield) take the pillar trim off and come down. You can run wire behind the trim but on top of the headliner material along the sides.

Me? I'd go along the floor on the passenger side. Take the passenger side D pillar trim off to bring wires down from the overhead console. If speakers in the liftgate, that trim still has to come off, if memory serves. Run under rear carpet to the back edge of the pass side rear door. Pull the below door trim off and run the wires then remove the kick panel on the pass. side and enter behind the dash from there. Easiest.

In either case, XJs are easy to run wire in.
