As a former firefighter, I have seen stuff like this. It is nothing to loose your head over.
I think you mentioned this in another thread and I agree. I also think it makes your hood look broken.

Yes, i did mention it. But every time someone brings it up I feel some responsibility to mention this. My opinion is this mod just shouldn't be done. Even if it does work.

try Flickr. They are just about the best quality on line hosting you can find, its free, and you can resize very easily. They also do videos.

I picked a couple of vents up at lowes for 2 bucks a peice and did the slice and dice in the rain. The ones I have on are aluminum but im going to be replacing them with steel ones. these vents dropped the temp about 40 degrees under the hood and my temp guage showed a 5 degree drop in traffic.. I dont have drip pans in them yet but amazingly not much water gets through them.

I love cheap DIY projects. The hood was pretty banged up anyhow and I plan on reepainting once i get the steel vents on. MY old girl was beaten up pretty badly by her former owners. Last one used her just for a yard mudder.

Save them for us Grand owners! There's millions of mid '80's turbo Chrysler and Dodge cars that had hood vents.
