Default Hood Release without cable

As I was fixing my hood latching issue due to the release mechanism getting stuck I had to bend the bracket away slightly and re-rivet it to the center underside of the hood. It seems like someone may have closed it on something before. Now it appears that I either didn't reconnect the cable pull properly or the bracket has broken off, but regardless when I pull the release from inside it just comes all of the way towards me. What is the trick to releasing the latch when I can't reach the cable? Thanks.

Pull the headlights and headlight buckets. There are two bolts behind them, one horizontal and one vertical that hold the latch. Remove them and the hood will come free

You can also lay under the front and reach up between the pulleys and fan and pull down on the silver hood release bar that is attached at the bottom of the hood. It'll release both catches if everythings still where it should be

For reference this wound up being the easiest thing to do. Those two bolts behind the buckets aren't the easiest to get to so before I dug in too deep I looked underneath and saw I could reach up and grab the silver "bar". The hood release bracket wasn't holding the cable in place anymore which is what caused my issue in the first place. Zip tie solved that pretty quickly.
