Default hood release

Apparently the cable broke when I pulled the handle. But the hood latches didn't release. What's the best way to pop the hood to replace the cable?

Depending on if you have some things blocking the path, I have just used flat head screw drivers through the grill in the past.

You can probably get a vice grip on the end of cable, depending on where it broke.. Pull off the panels down by your feet and see if you can locate the break. As for replacing it, I'll bet theres a thread on here the addresses this issue, so I don't have the info myself.. Never addresses a broke hood cable..

Fixed it. I was able to reach from underneath up to the crossover rod and get it opened. Thanks though.
