Once i get pretty consistent with weld quality and strength, i will get the gas kit for my weldpak. Get rid of the messy flux core wire (splatter goes all over the place). Im only on my 3rd wheel of wire...

I wish I had the luggage rails. Seems that just about every rack in existence is designed to mount on those
Edit: I'd also need a welder, welding skills, scrap metal, etc....

She is painted! I'll post pics Monday since I can't upload via the iPhone. It looks 100x better with primer black paint...but I see lots of touch ups in it's future.

Which reminds me...I'd love some help from someone in CO to help me build one of these, I might be able to trade them for some beers and stuff. My materials.

I might go nab some gunkyard gewels tomorrow. Sure would make mounting lights a hella of a lot easier (ha...get it?).

Nothing quite beats the sensation of trying to do that real hi-torque nut just to have your wrench break free of the nut for whatever reason and have your hand fly into that nasty bit of knuckle-biter metal there.
Edit:
there - the location in which the knuckle-biting metal is most conveniently placed to be at your expense.

You can find examples of 'There' at locations such as these:
-the top 2 bolts on the transfercase housing
-top shackle bolts that go into the unibody
-upper shock bolts in the engine compartment
-upper trackbar bolt
-etc...
